"Aren’t new coal plants cleaner?"

Fact

Coal
isn’t clean.

Coal emits both air pollutants as well as fine dust.

Going beyond coal
must be a joint effort.

The Korea Beyond Coal
campaign has four objectives:

  • Phase out 60 existing coal plants by 2030
  • Stop the planned construction of
    7 new coal plants
  • End financing for any coal plants
  • Just transition from coal to renewables
