Coal workers, residents, all call for coal phase-out and just transition in Gyeongnam

Korea Beyond Coal (KBC) organized “Together, Gyeongsangnam-do Just Transition” campaign with Gyeongnam Climate Strike on the 24th of November. Through the campaign, KBC expressed its hopes of a more just transition in Gyeongnam during the process of 2050 carbon neutrality.
A hundred or more citizens and activists started from Jeongwoo arcade and marched their way up to Gyeongnam provincial government building, voicing their demands for just transition in Gyeongnam.

“Together, Gyeongsangnam-do Just Transition” campaign will arrange for climate activists, workers, farmers, and others to get together and share their situations and understandings, starting from this very campaign. Moreover, the participants will specify their demands through discussions on implementing a just transition committee in Gyeongnam and more.
