National Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth Framework Plan still shows no effort to phase out of coal.
Rather, the new power plant, called Samcheok Coal Power Plant, is about to be commissioned.

It is to quickly retire coal power plants and fill their place with renewable energy, not gas power plants, which are another source of greenhouse gas emissions.
